Notes: I haven't written anything in so long. It's unbelievable how this just flowed. I got the idea a couple of days ago, right after Ema and I first started playing the game. It was meant to have more introspection about the military portion, but by the time I got around to writing it a few days later, it didn't want to work. Instead of fighting with it, and censoring the shit out o myself like I usually do, I just let it go - let it do what it wanted to. The result is something I'm almost pleased with. Let me just say right now - I'm not a big fan of present tense and I'm even less a big fan of second person, but with Alex (especially for those of you that have beaten the game) this just seems to work.
I'm kind of annoyed that I have 56589458484 fics floating around in my head for games I actually enjoyed (*cough*MGS4*cough*) and a ton of RP logs I need to get to that I don't have time for, but I ended up writing something for a game I'm not even entirely sure I liked. There were definitely a lot of elements of Homecoming I didn't like.
But enough about that.

Notes: Um, this was in response to the "Lie to Children" prompt on temps_mort as a meager attempt to start writing again. It kind of fails and ended up being crappy gen-fic. This is slightly AU in that it takes place after the end of FMA and ignores the FMA movie altogether. It also looks at a few changes in the end of the series, so some slight liberties have been taken. Oops.
I actually intend to use this as a base to flesh out something better later...except that you all know how my intentions work out...
